Ms. Davis was born in Panama and has lived in the United States for 21 years. She graduated from the University of Panama, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an Emphasis in Pre School. She has worked as Bilingual teacher, PPCD and Head Start teacher. She has a certification as a therapist working with children with Autism. I gained a lot of experience educating families, case management and providing information on all the resources offered to parents.

Ms. Verkerk, Reading Specialist
Ms. Verkerk has been teaching at Andrews for 9 years. She began as a first grade teacher, then taught second grade, and is now a reading specialist. Ms. Verkerk is finishing her training to be a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) and teaches Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia written by the Scottish Rite Hospital. She is also pursuing a master's degree of special education specializing in dyslexia. Ms. Verkerk is proud to support Andrews' students with dyslexia, and loves to help improve reading and comprehension skills for all students.
