Miss Fanny Andrews was born on March 5,1869, and died just days before her 91st birthday.

She attended the University of Texas at Austin, served as secretary for the Austin Independent School Board for several years, and owned Ye Qualitye Shoppe, opened in 1910, for 46 years—among many other accomplishments.

Fanny Andrews Elementary, named for her, opened in 1962.
