The Creative Learning Initiatiave (CLI) is a program aimed at giving students more exposure to the arts through integration of movement, art, music, and drama into the core curiculum. This is the first year that Andrews has been involved in CLI. In the first year, all teachers and staff are provided with 8 hours of training on how to integrate the arts into classroom to teach content to students in fun, interesting, and interactive ways. As a follow up to the training, teachers receive coaching monthly from a CLI specialst who comes to Andrews to provide feedback and support through working directly with teachers and students.
Particpating in an CLI also provide additional funding for Andrews to participate in more community arts activities through after school programming and arts-based field trips.
All Andrews teachers have begun to used CLI strategies in their classrooms this year, and all of our students are already benefitting from the integration of the arts into their daily classroom learning!

La Creative Learning Initiative (CLI) es un programa dirigido a dar a los estudiantes una mayor exposición al arte a través de la integración de movimiento, arte, música y drama en el curiculum central. Este es el primer año en que Andrews ha estado involucrado en CLI. En el primer año, todos los maestros reciben 8 horas de capacitación sobre cómo integrar el arte en el aula para enseñar contenido a los estudiantes de manera divertida, interesante e interactiva. Como seguimiento a la capacitación, los maestros reciben entrenamiento mensual de un especialista de CLI que viene a Andrews para proporcionar retroalimentación y apoyo a través del trabajo directo con maestros y estudiantes.
Participar en un CLI también provee fondos adicionales para que Andrews participe en más actividades artísticas de la comunidad a través de la programación después de la escuela y viajes de campo basados en arte.
Todos los maestros de Andrews han comenzado a usar las estrategias de CLI en sus clases este año, y todos nuestros estudiantes ya se están beneficiando de la integración del arte en su aprendizaje diario en el aula.
